I lived here for quite awhile and while most of the time it was a decent place I have a few but rather large and unforgivable complaints. We moved in and shortly after the sink began filling with water and spilling over onto the floor and would not stop. When I called the office to report it the lady asked me "did you shut the faucet off?" ummmm first of all you are not talking to a child... the faucet was never running and I'm sure if it had been I would have realized that might be the reason the water was pouring onto my floor.Next we asked them to come clean up the floor but they said "just let it dry up" well we tried that but since the water coming from the sink was mixed with the garbage disposal it smelled a bit like throw up.We called again and they sent a carpet cleaner in to shampoo the carpets and he was excellent. But the problem was that it happened yet again about a month later and they had to do it all over again. Next was the winter nights when the pilot light would blow out and our apartment would get to about 50 and we would be freezing waiting up for some repair man to come light it.The pilot light blew out soooo often that the AMAZING repair man Charles (he is great, too bad the the property can't be as great as him)taught us how to relight it ourselves and gave us the proper tools to do so. Next was when we got a dog, we paid the money they asked for only to find out a month later they thought our dog was too large for the property and threathened to evict us.The property employes a few people with 4 or more dogs in the apt (which is not allowed according the rule) and they are all larger than my dog. Next was the crazy lady living next to us banging on the walls and screaming obsceneties at us and calling the cops for us watching TV.The managment admitted she was a problem but acted afraid to confront on her on these issues. We were not afraid but it did not help as she just screamed as loud she could any foul word that came to her tiny little brain. The fact that management refused to do anything about her pounding on the walls and knocking stuff off our walls and breaking it, repeatedly calling the cops and having a huge dog that does nothing but bark and snip at you as you walk by, made being her neighbor unbearable.Once they hung the eviction notice on our door we had to beg them to let us stay until we found another place to live as we had not found a place or saved up money to move. They refused stating it was just againt management rules and the property owners wouldnt allow it.Until my roommate began crying and then they gave us just 1 more month before we HAD to leave the property (due to my dog being over the weight limit). We said fine and found another GREAT place. My main problem is that when we went to the office to officially turn in our written letter stating we were leaving they begged us to stay saying we were great tenant and they could overlook our overweight dog. They said they would be willing to let us sign another 1 year lease!!! Are you kidding me?!?! after you hung a note on my door telling me I had 30 days to get out, you want to beg me to stay because the economy has gone bad and now you need people to stay? Really too bad. It was a good location and close to work but I would never ever rent there again because of that. You cant threaten to kick people out and a week later beg them to stay....Crazy Ladies...thats all I have to say |
