Apartment Review
To rent here is a mistake.
Review Date: 2/10/2010 Reviewer: Anonymous
This complex is at Union and Woodman road. The office staff lie in your face about every thing just to get you to rent/sign that lease. Maintenance tries, but they are limeted as to what they can/or are alowed to fix. The office staff has to be requested several times, then they start the- we forgot, thought we did, maintenance guy is sick, ETC. Then, 2 months later, after 2 mailed letters more, of needed repaires, when they do show up, things only get fixed part way and they get called to somewere ealse and never return. We were told by several other tenents that all this is common here. You sign a 16 page lease and they will only give you 6 pages, even after several requests. The noise is the worst then any apt I have ever lived in. The walls are paper thin. You can hear the kitchen cabnets close and people fighting. The stairs rock the walls with sound. At night when some one walks up the stairs, it sounds so loud it wakes us all up. They walk acrose the floors and it makes loud excessive sound and wakes us up. The glass doors have excessive cold coming through, the blinds move from the wind coming through and they refuse to replace the weather striping around to correct this. There is very little insolation in the walls, so the heat bills are much higher then normal. The thermostate is set at 80 always, but it is so cold at night, you have to wear coats inside, and your face is cold. There are electric wiring problems, so the lights flicker. The mice have moved in, to stay and so have the fleas. I will not even list the other repair problems needed. The office staff could care less. They will lie about it, ignore your requests and the maintenance men just want to stay employed. When you complain about it, they say ( just move then ). Twice there comments are ( a good day is when we dont hear from the tenents). Boy, this is going to be a long lease. This is realy a nice unit, but these needed minor repaires and the staff's bad manors etc, are making living here a nightmare. I find it hard to belive that the owners of this complex would let this all go on. We just can not move out, break the lease, lose all the move moneys etc. Words can not cover how terrible it is to pay such high rent and live in such poor conditions. |
