Apartment Review for Village At West Meadow - Colorado Springs, CO

This is a large apt. complex with incredible mountain views, so I guess that's why the rent is a little higher than most. The junior 1 bdrm's are best suited for a single person, because it's too tiny to accomodate a married couple, let alone one w/ a baby. However, the larger 1 bdrms are bigger. They include washer & dryers in the units & there's also a clubhouse w/ a fitness center, pool, & outdoor jacuzzi. This complex is incredibly nice; there is ample parking w/ large roads to drive through, so it's not cramped. Also, the units have lovely interiors. Management is friendly & the maintenance staff do their best to fix problems (I've never had any problems here). This is mainly a military community b/c it's just a walking distance from the Army base, so most of your neighbors will be military. Also, the walk-in closets are HUGE. The walk-in closet is almost like another room. Also, the interiors are absolutely lovely & modern. You have nice appliances & nothing's old. I believe when I moved in here, it was barely 6 mos. old & I've been here about 2 yrs. Cons? I think I'm paying way too much for a junior bdrm. For what I pay, I could easily get a larger 2 bdrm elsewhere. Also, the mailroom has been vandalized & robbed since I've been here. I don't like the enormous pet deposit fee ($350), so that's why I've never been able to get a cat---can't afford the fee. So, I would say that I'd recommend this place for a single person or a couple who can afford the larger 2 or 1 bdrm units. They're unbelievably clean & the grounds are well-maintained. Also, the views here are outstanding & the location is also nice.
