Apartment Review for Fountain Springs Apartments - Colorado Springs, CO

The apartments look nice, but they are NOT. When we moved in there were several things that we put on our move-in inspection that needed fixed (blinds missing, a spit wad on the ceiling of our bathroom, the seal of our front door not being tight) and it took over 3 months and several requests to get these things fixed. When making a maintenance request, the staff would first try to explain why something was okay. (Like our front door...we would run the heat at 72, but the front room would stay so cold we couldn't sit in it because of the loose seal. They tried to say all the doors were like that and no one else was complaining!) If they did finally agree to fix something, it would take weeks. About half the time if we went back and requested it again, they would say they "forgot" to put the work order in. As for the noise--oh my heavens! There were teenagers outside all hours of the night. Management couldn't have cared less. These teens were drinking, smoking pot, and so loud they would wake my son up every night even with all our doors and windows closed. It was horrible! Our neighbors would have their tv turned up so loud I could hear exactly what program they were watching. The noise would literally vibrate our mirrors in the bathrooms. Again, management did nothing. Overall this neighborhood is NOT safe. I will not even stay out past dark so I don't have to walk from my car to my apartment in the dark. It's not so bad in the summer when it stays light so late, but in the winter it is a real problem to have to beat sundown just to feel safe walking to my own home. Oh, and even though we signed a 12-month lease, moved in Nov. 1st, we have to be out by Sept. 30. We are considering it a great blessing to not have to stay here another month, but that is only 11 months, not 12!
