Apartment Review for Cragmor Apartments - Colorado Springs, CO

When I first moved in, the apartments were slightly run down, (the sidewalk in front of it needs some serious help), but the great managment made up for it. Since they changed managers, I've thought about nothing but moving as soon as my lease is up!! I rented a one bedroom with the older carpeting (but it was less money so I ok with that). The appliances are new, and everything works right (except for my heater but i always assumed that was because i was on the top floor in an older apartment building that uses baseboard heating). All in all I was pretty happy with it. I moved from Cleveland so I never worried about my safety (In fact I laugh at people who say there's a bad side of town here). The new lady is why I'm personally moving. She's absolutely CRAZY!!!!! She keeps leaving all these notes for the residents.. that is after she finally stopped hand writing them. She looks like a 14-year-old girl when she hand writes all of her notes, and even sometimes writes them on notebook paper!! How much more unprofessional can you get??????? One of the residents left her a note (with a valid point about our skyrocketing gas bill) and she responded with the stupidest reply I have ever seen, and once again acted like a 14-year old girl! She's so unprofessional when she flaunts her stupidity! She keeps leaving signs about not stealing her signs, then wonders why people steal that sign. Duh! IT'S FUNNY!!!! But it really makes prospective renters wonder if this place is the ghetto... it's not but she actually makes it an older place look more run down. Also there's the door... ah the door.... She decided that it would be a great thing to start locking the door into the apartment building. First of all... it's a GLASS DOOR. That's sure to deter theft. NOT! Also, there is no airflow in any of the hallways, so it just gets HOTTER and HOTTER all day, and never cools in the evenings, so my poor air conditioner works over time and never cools more than a small part of my apartment because of the heat radiating from the damn hallway. Also, there is no buzzer system, so you have to go let your friends in... which if your on the third floor sucks. And god help you if you forget your keys. She actually took the door prop away so there's no hope! She actually wondered why one of the residents got pissed and took the door of the hinges!!! It was a great couple of days before they actually noticed (she's NEVER THERE!!! EVER!!!) It's not hard to understand that since she took over the whole place has started to empty out. In my time there, people used to move out, people would move in... but since she's been the manager I've only seen people move out with one rare exception. Also she's had b-i-t-c-h scratched into the office door on two different occasions. I think this has to do with the that some people are getting their deposits withheld for no good reason. (I mean really, what would get people mad enough to scratch bitch into her door?... not getting my deposit back would do it. Plus the other ratings website had someone complain about it. I still have one more month left on my lease so I don't know first hand yet but you can bet I'm not looking forward to it!) All in all, it's nice apartments, i never hear my neighbors much, my new car has never been broken into, but man stay away as long as she's the manager!!!!!
