Apartment Review for Constitution Square Apartments - Colorado Springs, CO

I was very disheartened on the way the management of Constitution Square Apartments handled many situations that occured over the 4 years I lived at Constitution square Apts. Military be aware of their scheme where they offer no security deposit for active duty. This was a great attraction for me to begin with however as I found out 3 months after I had vacated and PCS'd to my next duty station Constituion Square Apts management had sent many charges that I was not aware of to collections. I receieved a call from a collection agency 3 months after I vacated (on my cell which the collection agency said they had received from Constitution Square Apts). This is truly not how you conduct business, Constitution Square should have attempted to contact me first and let me know of these charges before sending to collections. I was further dishardened because before moving I asked the girl at the front desk if I needed to bring in a cleaning team or anything to which she replied laughing "This is not military quarters as long as you do not trash the place." After turning in the key I even asked the receptionist girl if we needed to walk through the apartment to which she laughed again. I am extremely disturbed at the unprofessional manner in which they handled this issue even to the point where I've called on numerous occassions to attempt to get to the bottom on what is allegedly owed and the manager has refused to return my calls. BOTTOM LINE: Although the no security deposit sounds attractive for active duty military this aparmtent complex practices scheming over military by loopholes in their contract and strong arm techniquess which if you are in a different state is hard for you to resolve.
