Apartment Review for Aspen Townhomes - Colorado Springs, CO

With anything, you can find problems with something if you look hard enough. These places get HOT during the summer. While they provide hookups for A/C, the units themselves don't have it. It shares a border with an elementary school, and I worked graveyard while I lived there... the bell going off regularly, coupled with the kids at recess was loud. Parking was a mess, and even though there are reserved spots, it wasn't uncommon to see someone parked in mine. With that being said, I loved the time I lived here. The rooms were spacious, The basement was enormous, though some units had flooding problems. It was a little light on closet space, but you could work around that. The neighborhood was safe, and as it's somewhat contained, we were able to just let the kids go out and play without worrying too much. It did get a little totalitarian toward the end of our stay, with rules prohibiting kids from riding bikes/scooters/skateboards or playing with balls on the property. The pool was a little on the warm side, but I preferred that, and wish I'd used it more. Maintenance was responsive, and the staff was friendly, and actually took the time to remember names. All in all, a great living experience.
